Motorsport Safety

Motorsport, track days, autocross, and rallies are dangerous. GBC products are tools for recording, reviewing, and communicating information — they are not safety equipment and do not replace your own judgement, your event's officials, or the flags and instructions of the event you are at.

• Flags and alerts. Flags, pit messages, and alerts shown in the app, on an Apple Watch, or by Race Engineer can be delayed or missed (for example when a phone loses signal or a Bluetooth link drops). Always follow the physical flags and the officials at the track.
• Don't interact while driving. Set up the app, cameras, and devices before you go out. Don't handle your phone while the car is moving.
• Installation. You are responsible for mounting the Black Box, wing hardware, cameras, and phones securely, and for making sure your car and its equipment meet the rules of any sanctioning body or event you take part in.
• Data accuracy. Lap times, sector times, speeds, G-forces, and fuel calculations come from GPS and sensors and can be inaccurate. They're for review and coaching, not for official timing or for safety-critical decisions.

Your Account

• Accurate details. Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your contact details up to date.
• Keep it secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your password private. If you sign in with Google, the security of your Google account also protects your GBC account.
• One person per account. Accounts are for one driver unless your plan says otherwise (for example Race Engineer for two drivers). Signing in on a new device may sign out an older session.
• Age. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission and supervision, to create an account.

Subscriptions and Payment

• Annual plans. Software plans are billed yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each year at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We'll show the price before you pay.
• Cancelling. You can cancel a subscription at any time. It stays active until the end of the year you've paid for and then doesn't renew. Payments already made aren't refunded for unused time, except where the law requires.
• Promo codes. Promo codes give the access and length of time stated with the code, can be used once, and have no cash value.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, access to that plan may be paused until payment succeeds.
• Price changes. We may change prices for future terms; a change takes effect at your next renewal, not part way through a paid year.

Hardware

• Orders. Hardware is made and assembled in small series; we'll give you an estimated ship date when you order. Title and risk pass to you on delivery.
• Returns. Unused hardware in its original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Contact us first to arrange the return.
• Defects. If GBC hardware fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship within one year of delivery, we'll repair or replace it. This doesn't cover crash or impact damage, water damage, incorrect installation, modification, or normal wear.
• Subscription needed. The Black Box needs an active Advanced Mobile subscription for the app and portal features described on its product page.

Your Data and Video

• It's yours. You own the telemetry, session data, setup sheets, and video you record. You give us permission to store, process, and display it to provide the service to you, and to the Race Engineer or Track Manager you choose to share it with. See the Privacy Policy.
• Video storage. Uploaded session video is kept for 6 months, then archived for 3 months and permanently deleted. Download anything you want to keep. Video saved on your phone stays there until you delete it.
• Exports. You can export your session data as CSV at any time while your subscription is active.
• Other devices. GoPro, Apple Watch, and other third-party devices work with GBC through their makers' published features. GBC isn't affiliated with or endorsed by those companies, and their products are covered by their own terms.

Acceptable Use

Don't misuse GBC services. That includes: trying to access other drivers' accounts or data, sharing your account or reselling access, interfering with the service or our servers, reverse engineering the software or firmware except where the law allows it, and using GBC to break the law or the rules of an event. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Our Software and Brand

The GBC software, firmware, website, and branding belong to Gulf Blue Concepts. While your account and subscriptions are active, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own driving, coaching, and events. Software updates may add, change, or remove features over time.

Disclaimers and Limits

GBC services are provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep them running and accurate, but we don't promise they'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data or video will never be lost — keep your own copies of anything important.

To the fullest extent the law allows, GBC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for injury, damage to vehicles or property, or race results arising from motorsport activities, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending Your Account

You can stop using GBC and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we stop offering a service; if we discontinue a paid service, we'll refund the unused part of your current term.

Changes and Governing Law

We may update these terms; if a change is significant, we'll update the date above and let account holders know. Continuing to use GBC after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes will be handled in the courts located in New York.
